Western Blue Bird, Colored Pencil 8.5 X 11 Inches This is a drawing made after just a glance at the person as I was turning a corner. He looked up and our eyes met for a split second and the result is before you. The Chickadee is one of my 'early' drawings of birds. You might guess that living in a rural area, there is time for a bit of Birding now and then.
The Iris here was drawn from a photo in our local newspaper. It accomoanied an artcle about a garden club event in a town near us. The title: Christmas Snow says it all.
You may have noticed my fondness for lighthouses. This one is in Split Rock Lighthouse State Park, Minnisota. It is in the process of being painted. I am using several photos from various sources. The building is brick and isn't really yellow. Watch this spot and see the finished product.
